The 2010 F-150 gives you best-in-class trailer-towing capability* across all cabs with the added confidence and stability of standard Trailer Sway Control (TSC) and an available factory-integrated Trailer Brake Controller (TBC).** Furthermore, the selectable Tow/Haul Mode on the six-speed automatic transmission compensates for altitude, grade and load to aid performance, especially when driving up steep grades or down extreme slopes. You can choose the Trailer Towing Package or the optional Max Trailer Tow Package — a special group of heavy-duty towing upgrades.
Trailer Sway Control
Standard on the 2010 F-150, Trailer Sway Control (TSC) builds on the AdvanceTrac® system with segment-first* Roll Stability Control™ (RSC®) to help maintain trailer control through selective wheel braking and reduced engine power.** The result: noticeable stability and control, which provides greater driver confidence when towing the largest loads.
Integrated Trailer Brake Controller
The 2010 F-150 offers an available fully-integrated Trailer Brake Controller (TBC). TBC synchronizes vehicle and trailer brakes for seamless braking (even with the heaviest loads) to provide added driving control and confidence.* Factory-installed TBC with standard Trailer Sway Control (TSC) is a combination that’s class-exclusive** to the 2010 F-150.
Best In Payload
The 2010 F-150 continues to deliver best-in-class* payload capability while adding better usability with two class-exclusive features: available Tailgate Step and available Box Side Steps. Each of these features provides great functionality for the user. Greater capability plus enhanced usability: that’s the 2010 F-150.
Box Side Steps
Available Box Side Steps are another industry first and class-exclusive* feature from F-150. Located on both sides of the bed, just in front of the rear wheels, these innovative steps boast a 500-lb. load capacity, and deploy with a tap of your foot. Available on the 6.5-ft. or 8 ft. pickup box only.
Tailgate Step
The 2010 F-150 features an available class-exclusive* integrated Tailgate Step with a 350-lb. load capacity. This ultraconvenient step stows inside the tailgate, can be easily accessed when needed and includes a handy flip-up grab bar.
Stowable Bed Extender
The available, stowable Bed Extender provides additional cargo space when in the outward position while the tailgate is down. It can also be flipped inward to create a contained area at the back of the box when the tailgate is up. Best of all, it conveniently stows neatly into the sides of the cargo box when not in use. Plus, there’s a Cargo Management System available for trucks with a 6.5-ft. box. This system handles as much as 600 lbs. per tie-down cleat (two cleats per rail maximum) on its dual-rail system. For even greater flexibility, step up to the factory-installed Cargo Management Accessories Package, which includes a bed divider, front header bar and two load bars.
All-New 2010 F-150 SVT Raptor
All-New 2010 F-150 SVT Raptor pushes proven “Built Ford Tough” truck heritage above and beyond the road. While remaining street-legal, this purpose-built, factory-designed prerunner is off-road capable and Baja-tested, providing true off-road performance thanks to its stock, high-performance parts, such as FOX Racing Shox, the only internal triple-bypass shocks available on a production truck, and BFGoodrich® 35" all-terrain tires. A 5.4L SOHC V8 FFV* engine with 320 hp and 390 lb.-ft. of torque comes standard. A 6.2L SOHC V8 engine with approximately 400 hp and 400 lb.-ft. will be available early 2010.
Powerful and Efficient
The 2010 F-150 features a three-engine lineup that provides excellent power and fuel efficiency. The robust 5.4L 3-valve SOHC V8 is E85 flex-fuel-capable and features variable cam timing (VCT) for enhanced efficiency when hauling heavy loads. The 4.6L 3-valve SOHC V8 uses charge motion control valves to increase performance while reducing emissions. The standard 4.6L 2-valve V8 engine offers the right amount of horsepower and torque with impressive fuel economy.

Strongest Frame
Solid truck construction begins with the frame, the backbone of the truck. To that end, the 2010 F-150 is proud to boast the strongest frame in its class*. The F-150 frame features fully boxed high-strength steel with through-welded crossmembers, excellent static torsional and bending stiffness, and minimal overall frame deflection. The front frame rails themselves are constructed using hydroforming technology, which produces precise frame wall thickness without the inherent stresses and dimensional variations of stamping or welding.
Bigger Brakes
New larger brakes means more braking surface between disc brake and pad, which in turn produces enhanced energy-absorbing stopping friction. Each of the power four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes on 2010 F-150 are massive in size, which means, when you brake an F-150, you’re stepping on solid, sure-footed stopping power. Plus, an anti-lock braking system comes standard.
Transmission of Power
A 6-speed automatic transmission with Tow/Haul Mode comes standard with the 4.6L 3-valve SOHC V8 engine and the 5.4L 3-valve SOHC V8 engine. This electronically controlled close-ratio transmission helps optimize power delivery for excellent fuel economy. A selectable Tow/Haul Mode improves performance when towing or hauling heavy loads by compensating for altitude, grade and load, and reducing gear hunting, improving power delivery, and using engine braking to help slow the truck when descending hills.
Outboard-Mounted Rear Shocks
The 2010 F-150 features outboard-mounted rear shock absorbers. Positioning the rear shocks outside the frame rails reduces body lean and helps control axle motion on washboard road surfaces.
Electronic Brakeforce Distribution
Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), used by the standard 4-wheel vented-disc Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS), manages the rear brakes to help ensure maximum capability under heavy loads. It's proven technology that provides peace of mind behind the wheel when you need it most.
Electronic Locking Differential
The 2010 F-150 FX4 features a standard electronic locking rear differential that, when engaged, locks the rear axle completely to provide maximum traction at both wheels at the same time. The electronic locking rear differential is fully integrated with the AdvanceTrac® system with Roll Stability Control™ (RSC®) to give you excellent control when traveling on- or off-road.*
Most Usable Cab Space
The 2010 F-150 SuperCrew offers the most usable cab space of any truck in its class.* Ample rear-seat compartment room, excellent visibility, utmost flexibility and superb cargo space – this truck has it all. Plus, the rear seat folds up with one hand to offer a fully flat load floor that’s perfect for conveniently hauling cargo.
Fully Flat Load Floor
No buttons to push or levers to pull. Simply use one hand to fold up the mechanically articulating rear seats inside 2010 F-150 SuperCrew against the back of the cab to easily access a completely flat load floor that features more than 57 cu. ft. of usable storage space. The seat back folds up and out of the way and the doors swing wide open to allow easy access to this abundant amount of space.
Quiet Ride
The environment inside the 2010 F-150 is tranquil and quiet thanks to Ford’s 720-degree approach to noise reduction through sound engineering. Its stiff frame and body, shear-style body mounts, door seals, Quiet Steel® and a noise-absorbing headliner all work together to reduce unwanted noise and vibration.
In-Cab Storage
There’s no doubt the 2010 F-150 can carry tons of payload in its cargo box. There are numerous places for carrying items inside the cab as well. The SuperCrew interior features more than 30 storage places throughout, including large storage bins inside the door panels. There's also an available lockable center console, equipped with rails for hanging files, that easily holds up to two laptop computers. And in the SuperCrew, you can easily fold up the 60/40 split rear seat to carry a large load of cargo (up to 47.9 inches tall) on the fully flat load floor.
SYNC® Voice Technology
2010 F-150 offers all the great features of the available voice-activated Ford SYNC® System* plus 911 Assist™ and Vehicle Health Report. And now, Ford SYNC includes Traffic, Directions and Information services. With SYNC you can access your music collection on your MP3 player by genre, album, artist or song title and operate your Bluetooth® phone with simple voice commands.* You can even make music selections through your flash drive by voice command. With the 911 Assist feature, within seconds after airbag deployment, SYNC uses your cell phone connection you programmed into the system to make a call to a local 911 emergency operator. A pre-recorded message will then play when the call is answered, and you’ll be able to communicate with the 911 operator.** Along with 911 Assist™, SYNC will offer a Vehicle Health Report feature. SYNC gathers information from the vehicle’s control modules and transmits it through the cell phone connection you programmed into the system to Ford by way of an 800-number. You can receive these health reports free of charge by e-mail or text-message alerts. And now, SYNC with Traffic, Directions and Information† provides in-vehicle traffic reports, turn-by-turn directions and business search service, as well as news, sports and weather. Access it with either touch or voice commands.
Best Connectivity
F-150’s best-in-connectivity includes a voice-activated Navigation System with integrated SIRIUS Travel Link™*, providing everything from turn-by-turn voice guidance, real-time traffic information, current and forecasted national weather information, to fuel prices, sports scores and schedules, and movie listings. On top of all that it has a 10GB hard drive so you can store up to 2,400 songs. Browse your music with your fingertips or use voice activation to play back a track. (available on FX4, Lariat, King Ranch® and Platinum).
Ford Work Solutions™

Rear Window Defroster
As an added convenience, a new power sliding rear window with privacy tint and defroster comes standard on F-150 Lariat, King Ranch®, Harley-Davidson™, Platinum and SVT Raptor; optional on XLT and FX4 (restrictions apply).
Personal Safety System™
The 2010 F-150 has the most standard safety features of any truck in its class.* These systems work together to provide an enhanced level of protection. During certain frontal collisions, the standard Personal Safety System™ uses the electronic crash-severity sensor, a restraint-control module, a driver’s seat-position sensor, dual-stage front airbags.** a front-passenger sensing system, safety belt pretensioners, safety belt energy-management retractors and front outboard safety belt usage sensors to help protect the driver and front seat passenger. It’s no surprise that F-150 is America’s safest full-size pickup. †
Side and Curtain Airbags
The 2010 Ford F-150 offers enhanced occupant protection and the most standard safety features.* In addition to front seat airbags and the enhanced occupant protection of the Personal Safety System™, the 2010 F-150 provides front side-impact airbags** and the Safety Canopy® System with its state-of-the-art roll-fold technology. All six airbags are standard equipment on all F-150 models.
High-Strength Safety Cage
For additional crash protection, the safety cage within the 2010 F-150 features advanced hydroformed high-strength steel. Additionally, continuous tubes run from the A-pillar base through the roof rail to form a safety cage around the occupants of the truck, and dual hydroformed front tubes, located on either side of the engine bay, are shaped to absorb impacts.
AdvanceTrac® with RSC®
The 2010 F-150 comes equipped with standard AdvanceTrac® with Roll Stability Control™* (RSC®). This advanced technology uses a combination of reduced engine power and selective wheel braking to help the driver maintain control. Corner too quickly or swerve to avoid an object and RSC® will automatically use its industry-exclusive gyroscopic sensor to measure vehicle roll, then apply the proper response to help keep your truck under control.
Rear View Camera
To aid the driver while in reverse, the available Rear View Camera uses a camera mounted in the tailgate to produce a real-time visual display in the interior rearview mirror. When the camera is ordered with the available voice-activated Navigation System, the visual is displayed on the Navigation System's screen.
